Cleansing Face Oil

Description

The most natural and luxurious way to cleanse your face, aster & bay Cleansing Oil is a blend of softening and toning oils that penetrate the pores deeply to dissolve dirt, makeup and toxin buildup. For all skin types.

Top reasons to cleanse your face with oil (yes, even for oily skin!):
- Traditional face washes contain harsh surfactants, detergents and chemicals that strip your skin of it's natural oils, leaving you with a "tight" feeling. This in turn leads to your skin producing even more oil to compensate for moisture it's lost, which often leaves you with oily skin, thus establishing an unfortunate cycle.
- Simply put, oil dissolves oil. The best way to dissolve the bad oil (the sebum that hardens in your pores, along with dirt and toxins) is to dissolve and replace it with nutrient-rich plant oils. Plant, nut and seed oils cleanse, detoxify and moisturize the pores and skin surface.
- Oil cleansers do not require any preservatives or chemicals, making it a safe method for even the most sensitive skin.
- Made with 100% cold-pressed plant and essential oils.

To use: Massage a quarter-sized amount of oil into the skin. Hold a (comfortably) hot washcloth over face for fifteen seconds or longer. Rinse cloth with hot water again and slowly wipe off oil with the cloth, rinsing it as needed. Repeat until all the oil is gone and skin feels soft. Pat dry with a clean towel and follow with facial serum.

Ingredients: Hazelnut (corylus avellana) oil, Macadamia (macadamia integrifolia) oil*, Sesame (sesamum indicum) oil*, Castor (ricinus communis) oil*, Grapefruit (citrus racemosa) oil, Lemon (citrus limonum) oil*, Mandarin (citrus nobilis) oil.

About aster & bay: Erin Hammond began aster & bay in 2012 as an experimental project while she was undergoing training in western herbalism. After having lived in both Edinburgh, Scotland and Atlanta, Georgia, she was inspired by the botanical diversity and herbal lore of both places- the Appalachian Mountains and the Scottish Highlands- and sought to incorporate as many of these indigenous ingredients into her formulations as possible.
Now back in Scotland, aster & bay is run by Erin and her husband Glen out of an old biscuit factory in Edinburgh. Whether it's sourcing local herbs from the Highlands or sea salt from the British coastline, aster & bay is still rooted in the spirit of whole plant ingredients, minimalism, and craft.
